2011 MARGARITAVILLE TRIMARAN RENDEZVOUS Schedule for Cruising Fleet

 

Saturday, April 30       Optional Activity:  Pre-Rendezvous - Sail to Pirates Cove to attend the Wooden Boat Show, anchor overnight. A shuttle boat will be available by 1600 hrs. for transport to shore.

Sunday, May 1            Register between 1-6 pm & attend welcome party at Pensacola Beach Yacht Club. 

Monday, May 2           Leave east side of Pensacola Beach Bridge by 9:30 am and sail to Juana’s Pagoda for lunch.    Racers will depart at 10 am and follow the cruisers.  Sail back to Pensacola Beach after lunch.  Attend loft night at Schurr Sails at 6 pm.  Be sure to wave to locals on the bridge as you sail by

Tuesday, May 3           8 am - Smyth Sails Seminar at Margaritaville

10:30 – Meet at Buoy # 2 at entrance to Bayou Chico Channel to begin sail to Escambia Bay.  Sail under 3 mile bridge and round Buoy # 2, FL Red up Escambia Bay.  Head directly south from the buoy to lunch & swimming at Gulf Islands National Seashore on Pensacola Bay.  You will be greeted by local natives doing the hula.  Sail back to Little Sabine & attend Shipwreck party at Land Shark Landing at 1900 hrs.

Wednesday, May 4     Cruise for picnic lunch with racing fleet.  After lunch sail in Gulf to Sea Buoy, or if too rough, sail in Grand Lagoon around Green buoy # 11, then back to Little Sabine. Enjoy the Zern Rigging seminar on Margaritaville - Sabine Beach at 1730 hrs., then join us at Land Shark Landing for the Rendezvous Buffet at 1930 hrs.

Thursday, May 5         Enjoy Steeplechase & monohull stalking to various buoys in Pensacola Bay followed by lunch at the Oar House.  Observe Air Force parachute drops In Pensacola Bay.  Pick up any bobbing bodies.
